WHAT IS MICROBLADING
Microblading is a manual technique meant to mimic real, natural hair. Its performed utilizing a handheld tool that has tiny needles lined up to form a blade.
Since this treatment is the most imperfect, least structured technique, this is an optimal choice when desiring a more natural look.
This technique gives the appearance of look-a-like hair strokes in which pigment is inserted into the uppermost, superficial layers of the skin.
Symmetry, density, shape and fullness can be achieved by strategically placing strokes where they needed.
AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
DAY 1-3:
Dab the brows with tepid water using a cotton pad, this helps wipe away the plasma which comes to the surface of the skin after treatment. Apply a thin layer of Bepanthen cream with a cotton bud every day for the next seven days (don’t use any other creams)
DAY 1-7:
Don’t wet/saturate the brows with water, and protect them if showering, stay out of the sun, avoid make-up and avoid the sauna and gym as sweating will saturate the brows. Don’t pick if any scabs form, this can lead to, infection, scarring, and also prevent the skin from absorbing the pigment. Give your brows time to heal and absorb the pigment
FAQ
How long does the treatment take:
Microblading is done in two sessions. First session takes three hours which includes the consultation, mapping/measurements and procedure. Six weeks later a touch up session is done and this can take one and a half to two hours.
Why is the touch up necessary:
Touch ups are done as every client heals differently varying in end results. Sometimes its necessary to fill in some strokes that have not remained.
Is it painful:
Topical anesthetics are used reducing the level of discomfort. Some have said to felt nothing while others have felt minor discomfort. The topical anesthetics are safe and may contain lidocaine, tetracaine and epinephrine. Slight swelling and redness is normal after procedure. I send my clients home with a tiny bit of Bepanthan to sooth the area.
How long does Microblading last:
Microblading is semi-permanent un-like tattooing and depending on skin type(normal -oily), age, microblading can last 6-18 months. Taking good care of your brows will also count towards longevity. To maintain them, touch up can be done every 6-12 months
